Stroke-Heart Syndrome

Brain and heart interact in a bidirectional way. At BrainHeartLab, we are particularly interested in the cardiovascular consequences of acute stroke.

A Multimodal Approach to Improve Detection of Atrial Fibrillation after Stroke

Atrial fibrillation (AF) is a common cause of ischemic stroke. In many cases, it is only detected after stroke during cardiac monitoring or Holter ECG (AF detected after stroke – AFDAS).

Personalized Interdisciplinary Stroke Care - Neurocardiology Board Meetings

The management of stroke patients often requires expertise from cardiologists. This includes questions of cardiovascular complications after stroke.
